The winter Haute Route (or "high route") from Chamonix to Zermatt, is one of the most well know ski touring traverses in the world, after Doctor Payot and his friends first skied the route in January 1924.

Ski the Haute Route Chamonix Zermatt Bourg St. Pierre

This beautiful alpine itinerary will lead you at the bottom of the south face of Grand Combin, one of the major 4000 Swiss peaks and is definitely more alpine and technical than the classic one.
